Waterloo makes all the difference for SAP

SAP’s 43-year history of innovation and growth has produced more than 70,000 employees across the globe. Here in Waterloo, over 250 SAP employees come together every day to help their clients operate more efficiently, profitably and sustainably. No small feat, but it does help that SAP is conveniently located in the David Johnston Research + Technology Park.

According to Terry Stepien, senior vice president of SAP, the R+T Park has all the amenities needed to run an information technology business. In the video, he points to the close proximity to local businesses, academic institutions and a vibrant community as a contributing factor to the company’s success.

The R+T Park is fast becoming a destination of choice for companies looking to plant roots in Waterloo. On Tuesday, May 12, 2015, Sustainable Waterloo Region announced plans to build the Centre for Sustainable Excellence, in the R+T Park, in 2018.
