AC:Studio Innovation Showcase celebrates over 100 founders

Hundreds of people, from founders to investors, partners to community champions, joined us at evolv1 for the Accelerator Centre’s signature innovation showcase, taking advantage of the chance to get to know the 100 emerging startups participating in the AC’s ground-breaking new program AC:Studio

Hosted in the global HQ of Accelerator Centre Graduate Textnow at evolv1, as well as in the in The Cora Hub on the building’s main floor, the showcase offered the chance to connect with Waterloo’s thriving community of innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, government officials, and industry experts.

Offering comments on the impact of the Accelerator Centre, Tristan Huntington, Vice President of Product at Textnow stated that “The AC gave us a home and a place to thrive” and that without the world leading incubator’s support, Textnow wouldn’t be where they are today, and “might not exist at all.”

The event also included a panel discussion about Venture Studios and Their Impact on The Canadian Innovation Ecosystem featuring Craig Haney, Danielle Graham, and Jahangir Bhatti.
