Ontario Entrepreneur of the Year: Risk-taker has Midas touch

At a gala event on Oct. 10 in Toronto, John A. McCluskey, president and chief executive of Alamos Gold Inc. was named this year’s Ontario Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year. Mr. McCluskey’s forward-thinking vision and eye for opportunity helped propel Alamos Gold Inc. from a junior mining company with no employees into a leading gold producer with upward of 550 employees and operations in Canada, Turkey and Mexico. He was also a winner in the mining and metals category.
