Arcadis Becomes Newest Tenant at R+T Park, Advancing Sustainability and Innovation
The David Johnston Research + Technology Park is excited to welcome Arcadis as one of our newest tenants. Arcadis is…
The staff at the David Johnston Research + Technology Park are excited to let you know that starting Monday, May 12th the R+T Park will be the Gourmet Food Truck hub of Waterloo! With daily service on site at TechTown (340 Hagey Blvd) from 11 – 2 pm, a different variety of trucks will be servicing the needs of the 50+ companies and 3,000 staff that call the R+T Park their workplace. Survey after survey have shown the need for some amenities in the park, so until we get a bricks and mortar establishment, we have brought together the best of the best in food truck service.
Grab and go or stay and enjoy your lunch with your colleagues on the patio during those sunny days, or head inside the TechTown Atrium that is now filled with café furniture for this new service on cool or windy days.
Each truck has a variety of payment methods, but cash, debit and credit are the standard options. It should be posted at each individual vendor so have a look before ordering.
We have never done this before at the University or in the park, so it will be a learning process. Please be patient as we work out location and number of trucks, timing, number of users, parking, etc. May 12 – 16th will be considered our soft launch. Feel free to send feedback to Carol Stewart directly at castewar@uwaterloo.ca or dialogue directly with the food trucks themselves.
