Carol Stewart elected to the International AURP Board of Directors

R+T Park’s own Carol Stewart elected to the International Association of University Research Parks’ (AURP) Board of Directors

Boca Raton, Florida. Thursday, December 4, 2014.

Carol Stewart, manager of the David Johnston Research + Technology Park, was elected to sit on the Board of Directors during the Annual General Meeting at the AURP International Conference. Stewart will commit to board service for three years, starting today.

Three AURP members representing University City Science Center (Philadelphia), MSU Innovation Campus (Montanna), and Edmonton Research Park nominated Stewart and the candidates with the most votes were elected. The goal of AURP is to have a diverse board, with experienced members representing various parks. Stewart’s 20+ years of marketing expertise validates her qualifications.

Apart from overseeing the 120-acre intensive research area, Carol Stewart is the founder and immediate past president of the AURP Canadian chapter (AURP Canada). AURP Canada is partnered with Startup Canada, CANARIE, and Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), collaborating with government and business.
